“Meet the six-piece band who are not only turning heads with the confident glide in their stride; they’re literally bulletproof.”
— The Sunday Times
Hardwicke Circus are fast earning a reputation as one of the most exciting bands to emerge from the UK in recent years. Their sound blends the brio of the E Street Band with the dark passion of The Doors, delivered with unmistakable British grit and a high-voltage Carlisle attack.
Their live reputation is formidable. The band have toured Ukraine twice—playing clubs, hospitals and music schools while delivering emergency vehicles to the frontline—and have supported Bob Dylan and Neil Young at Hyde Park. Festival highlights include Glastonbury (at the request of Sir Paul McCartney), Isle of Wight, Eurosonic (Groningen) and Kendal Calling 2024, where they opened the main stage. Further touring has taken them across the UK, Europe, Italy and South Africa, including sold-out dates in the Czech Republic, fifteen UK prison shows, and over 1,000 performances worldwide alongside artists such as Bob Geldof’s Boomtown Rats, Alabama 3 and The Saw Doctors.
They have just released the new single Hollow, produced by John McFee and Alan Winstanley, and are currently recording their third studio album. Previous releases include The Borderland, Fly The Flag (produced by Stiff Records’ Dave Robinson, featuring Earl Slick), and live acoustic album Cumbria Pizza, all receiving rave reviews and BBC Radio 1, 2, 4 and 6 Music airplay. Mojo hailed Fly The Flag as “Dexys-level dynamism… stirring brass and ballads laced with romance and humour.”
Their latest LP, One Hour Ahead of The Posse, recorded live in Ukraine, is out now. Proudly independent, Hardwicke Circus run their own label, Alternative Facts Records — We lead. Others follow but can’t keep up — and continue to expand their global reach as a powerful, independent live force.
